Manchester has one of the most active councils working on promoting safer cycling and to raise the awareness of cycling opportunities within Manchester.
In 1999, a cycling forum was established to do just this. This forum meets regularly to discuss with councillors all things bikes and how Manchester can be made a better cycling city.
