Head out of Ashton on the A58 and follow the road over the M6 Motorway and on to the Tithebam Road cross roads. Turn right into Tithebam Road and head for Billinge. From here, the majority of route is a pleasant trip along quiet lanes, however, there is a short section (1 km) along tracks between fields. This can be a bit sticky when wet. From Billinge you head on a loop via the B5205 to Rainford, then off on Higher Lane to Crawford, down to Kings Moss and back through Billinge to re-trace your route back to Ashton. | |

Several pubs and shops along way for refreshments. Good bike shop in Ashton for repairs/accessories. |
