North East Bolton through several Parks virtually avoiding any roads at all. Mostly flatish and runs alongside two canals, some filled in, some disused, otherwise overgrown. Takes you past a strange Equestrian crossing. It may be bettter to take road (Bklair Lanr, New Lane Longsight lane) before last golf course as it is very hard going through a wood and really requires dismounting and pushing up a very steep hill over tree roots. You can add a few extra miles by going north and taking in a couple of reservoirs |
