| From Timperley Metro Station, join the canal path along the Bridgwater canal. Keep going until you've gone under the motorway. Come off the path at the next bridge (Stretford) and cross over the canal. Take the left turn at the traffic lights along Kings Road, right until the very end of the road (carry on through the roundabout). There are cycle paths along several stretches, including most junctions, and the road is not busy. Turn left onto Upper Chorlton Road and at the next junction straight over onto Moss Lane West. The road is a bit busier here but not too bad and wide enough for cars to pass. There are cycle paths in some places. Carry on over Princess Parkway to Moss Lane East and follow the road to Whitworth Park on the left. Cut into Whitworth Park and straight over to come out to the front of Manchester Royal Infirmary. There's a cycle shop one block down the road too. A nice easy cycle to work. It's bit muddy along the canal. |
