The 3rd largest area located in the South West area of England. The name comes form the Celtic's word Dummonii which means "deep valley dwellers". Devon is surrounded by two coastlines and in the East Devon area was the very first seaside resort. This area is mostly rural with soft landscapes in the south, and the highest cliffs in all of the United Kingdom. The area survived off of tourism.
