The route follows the first three stages of the 1989 South West Stages Rally and then follows a section of the former Southern Railway route back into Halwill Junction. The route mainly uses minor routes and forest tracks, although there are some sections which follow some A roads, which require caution. Arrive at the village carpark, head out onto the A3079, turn left at the mini roundabout and head south follow the road South until you reach Nothcombe Plantation. This formed SS1, a circualr route follow the forest road down into the valley eventually arriving back at the starting point. Head back out of the forest and turn left on the A3079, follow for approx half a mile until you reach a left fork. Follow the fork onto the minor road. Heading west, follow the road until you reach a staggered cross road, turn left, follow the road down the hill until you reach a cross road, turn right |
