Cycle Steps
This road route starts and finishes at Bromley Cross Railway Station and has a mix A, B and country roads. There are hill climbs to begin with, up Chapeltown Road (B6391) and through Edgworth, then a lovely undulating ride towards Hoddlesden. Another "climb" over Pick Up Bank and rewarding decent down Grange Road. Turn right at Holcombe Brook Rd and follow via Helmshore towards Holcombe Brook. Skirt around Ramsbottom into Hawkshaw and turn right off the A676, Ramsbottom Rd (take care - blind bend) back up towards Edgworth via Turton Bottoms. Turn left and follow loop back down via B6391 to Bromley Cross. Very rewarding Sunday ride for riders that are new to road routes.

Ogden Reservoir, Villages of : Edgworth, Helmshore, Holcombe, Hawkshaw and Turton.
