Westfield through Send, turn off before you reach Ripley (or take the right turn in Ripley) go through Ockham and past Effingham junction train station. Don't get lost in Effingham or Great Bookham and follow signs to Polesden Lacey house. Watch out for Chapel Lane as it's very steep and twisty with no views round corners so keep your brakes on. Through Westhumble using subway to cross the A24, up and down Zigzag road as many times as you like, I do it twice. Back through Westhuble and down Ranmore Common Road. Small uphill gradient all the way to Ranmore road which is a bit painful. Follow along this very lumpy road until you descend massively, having to brake suddenly because of the junction at the bottom. Take the left signposted Shere and Gomshall. Take a right down Staple lane, 100m descent which is great fun. Down Ripley road which is the bumpiest road surface known to man with no suspension and retrace your steps. | |
