| Leave the youth hostel on the main road heading right(south) towards Kames. | |
| This is an incredible road passing many small towns and has some stunning views especially when travelling along side the sea. | |
| Staying on this road you pass Millhouse, Melldalloch, Kilfinian, Otter Ferry, Largiemore, Castle Lachlan and Newton. Pass | |
| Heading just past Newton the road merges to the left with the A886. | |
| There is some small shops in Strachur for a rest and a bite to eat. | |
| Leaving Strachur you come to a T-Junction, go left on to the A815 to Inverary. | |
| Travel along the A815 past Saint Catherines all the way until coming to a T-Junction with A83. Turn left here. | |
| There is a great descent here giving good views over the sea. | |
| Travel along this road all the way into Inverary. Shortly before Inverary there is a 1 lane bridge, with traffic lights so take care there. | |
| Head into Inverary and take a left at the first T-Junction. Heading along this road will take you past the harbour and on your left further up is the jail. | |
