| Of course you can do it in either direction and a there and back course is best, there is also plenty of free parking by the Sailor Boy cafe. | ||

| Just completed the route in both directions, it is a very pleasant ride on a Sunday morning. One comment, there is an awkward cycle ramp alongside a set of steps when you get to Clacton Pier, I suggest it is best avoided and you should use the pier approach road instead. | ||
