| This route is quite tough and only really suitable for road bikes if you want to do a return journey. There are no off road sections or cycle paths to use. There are also a number of climb on the route: To warm up there's Chester-Le-Street to Waldridge Fell then getting steeper out of Lanchester then the even steep climb at Nenthead. |
