From Stepps Train station, takes the Glasgow to Cumbernauld cycle route to pick up the Strathkelvin railway path to Kirkintilloch. Then uses the Forth and Clyde canal to get into Glasgow with the Stables pub a mile down the canal as a good midway stop point.

Nice route, but better to go on summer. Don't go after rain, you and your bike will be in mud after it.
