| This route follows the river but cuts off some of the meanders and avoids Rouen (the city is worth a visit but needs a day) and travels through small towns and villages to Vernon. The route has a few climbs and one epic downhill bit where you can get quite fast. Character of the river is different here 0 fewer smaller boats and less industrial. The towns are very pretty, Les Andaleys especially, with Vernon full of art loving tourists. |
