Did it on Saturday, would have been okay except for the killer headwind!

A tough route to follow, as many of the roads (particularly around Marlow) are unmarked and caused me many a scratching chin moment, which probably cost me 45-60 minutes over the route.

Overall a good one though.

I really enjoyed this route overall.

The first 30-40 km is really in Greater London which has its drawbacks but that said the choice of roads (being low traffic) was great and much appreciated.
For me start of the better section was East Burnham Green.

I used a Hybrid and although some sections cut down short muddy tracks I had no problems. These could no doubt be circumvented with a racing bike and I did see many other bikes on the route.

Only one hill I remember as being challenging but overall fairly straightforward. Thanks again for the effort into plotting this out.

Took me 7 hours on the road with 5 of actual cycle time. More than enough along the way to top up with food + drinks.

It was the easiest thing I have ever done. I could have walked it doing a backwards handstand.

Thank you so much for this lovely route, my boyfriend and I cycled it this weekend - it was so easy to follow, we didn't get lost once and all quiet roads. There was one hill which defeated me but only for about 100 metres and its good to have a bit of a challenge. The cycling took us about 5 hours but we stopped twice. We had breakfast in a cafe in Black Park which was lovely, right by the lake and good value food - lots of healthy and unhealthy options! We had lunch at Christmas common which is just after the biggest hill at a lovely pub called the fox and hounds.
