Cycle Steps
When you come off the ferry cycle out the car park and turn right.
Cycle along this road past the Spar on your left. About 3 miles along you will pass the entrance to Mishnish Ferry.
This is one of the only parts of Mull that is a 2 way road. Keep cycling until you come in to Salen.
Salen will be the last place to stock up for a few miles so it may be worth dropping into the Spar for some supplies at this point.
Carrying along the same road, the road turns into a 1 way road with passing points. The road bends round to the left, after passing a phone box on your right, just before a little bridge to your left, there is a turning left (effectively straight on), take this.
This will take you on a nice quiet back road to Dervaig, at some points it does seem a little more like a forest track but roadies should be ok.
About 10 miles later as you come out of the forest there are some cracking views and nice ups and downs in the road. This leads you into Dervaig.
Dervaig has some strange landmarks, including one that looks like its a cross between a church, space rocket and a light house.
Turning left at the end of this road, the road winds round past what looks like some marshland on your right.
About half a mile from the turning there is a left turn, take this. This leads you back over some hills and runs parallel to the forest and at some points going through it. These are usually quite quiet back roads so it should be a nice cycle.
Eventually you will come to another T-Junction. Take a left here and cycle back along this road.
This part of the cycle is a fair distance but once again, the views are cracking, so enjoy it. There are plenty of fast downhill parts, and hence the occasional hill too.
At the end of this road you will arrive back in Salen. There is a nice pub in Salen, by this point you will probably be needing your Tea.
If not, turn right here and head back to Craigure for the Ferry.
