Cycle Steps
Quite an easy route, following Rose Lane up and over the hill, down Woodlands Road onto Aigburth Road.
Follow Aigburth Road through to Garston which turns into Speke Road.
Follow on until you reach a turn off for Halebank.
No turn offs then until you are in Halebank.
Turn left (as you face the river) and through Halebank.
Once through follow road all the way to where it meets Queensway. Take a left and join onto A662 Speke Road and follow back to Liverpool.
When on Speke Blvd there is a turnoff to the right on to Higher Road that takes you through Halewood (no turn offs) and bends left into Huntscross.
When through Hunts cross you take a right onto the A562 Speke Hall Road (should have Asda, retail park and Mcdonalds straight ahead).
Follow Hillfoot Road along to where you join up with Menlove Avenue. It carries on straight all the way to the roundabout on the Queens Drive Allerton Road link. Take first exit left on roundabout, cross Allerton to stay on Queens Drive, follow until you turn left onto Dovedale Road and follow Dovedale back to Rose Lane.

The B5171/5178, from Childwall, through Belle Vale and along to Hough Green and Widnes is a nice road (especially when you get past Belle Vale/Netherly. You could drop down to the A562 from Widnes for the loop. Or continue to Warrington.
