Cycle Steps
This is a road route, mostly on fairly quiet country roads, that has a long hill at Barrington, if coming from Shepreth, and a steeper hill if coming from Haslingfield.
The route shown heads out of Melbourn on Cambridge Road then turns off right, onto Long Lane going to Fowlmere. In Fowlmere turn left onto the High Street, B1368, and at the fork turn off the B1368 into Thriplow Road.
Follow this road through Thriplow and turn left at the School into Brook Road, heading towards Newton. Follow the road to the B1368 T junction and turn right onto the B1368.
Follow the B1368 into Newton and at the fork turn off the B1368 into Harston Road. Follow this into Harston.
In Harston, swing left onto the A10 and then turn off the A10 at the fork turning right into Church Street. Follow this till it turns sharply right, then take the first turn off on the left, Harston Road. Follow this into Haslingfield.
In Haslingfield turn left onto Chapel Hill, heading for Barrington. Follow the road through Barrington and into Shepreth.
In Shepreth turn right onto Meldreth Road and follow this back through Meldreth To Melbourn.
