Cycle Steps |
Starting at the top of the Wheelie Brae off of Tower road. Follow the path along to the turn style. |
Climbing over the turn style cycle up the hill until you come to a t-junction in the forest. |
Take a right here and cycle another 100m and then take a left. |
Cycling up the hill you eventually come to a peak. This is where it starts. |
Cycle as fast as you can down the other side until you come to a T-Junction and take a right. |
Keeping the speed up, cycle through the bushes, watch out as sometimes they grow right over the path and throw you off your bike. I found out the hard way. |
The next stretch is quite rutty but if you keep the power up your bike will follow the path. |
Keep going until you come to another T-junction in which you turn right. This bit gets a little more technical now, with a burn crossing. |
Cross the burn and into the mud at the other side, head up through the trees and then down to your left should be the basis of a path. |
Head down through the trees, if it's dry this bit should be quite simple. If it's been raining, all the better. |
At the end of this stretch you should see a wall and a path running to the right of it, staying on your bike cycle down past it on to the road. |
Head left and first right down the hill into the housing estate. |
Heading out the back of the housing estate you will be where Lennox Hospital used to be. I haven't been here for a while now, and I'm sure they've knocked it all down now. |
Heading out of where Lennox hospital was, and turning left, this route will take you along to Clachan of Campsie on your right where Wheel Craft is. |
