Cycle Steps
This is a road route, all on country roads, that undulates and has one stiff climb.
You start off with a very gentle ride along past Ilkley golf club. You then have a few slight inclines into Nesfield and then a long decent before climbing again into Beamsley. You then turn off right at the centre of the town. Now this is by far the hardest bit of the ride, and if it hadn't been for the rest of the ride being mild, and this not being an exceptionally long ride, then it would have had a difficulty rating of 10.
You then have a slight incline for around 150 meters before an incredibly steep incline over at least 1 mile as you just pass below the summit of Beamsley Beacon. You then have a fairly flat ride for around 6 miles from Langbar before you reach your start and finish point by the Old Bridge in Ilkley.
