The map at Beckwithshaw, where you approch from Howhill Road into Otley Road, and go straight into a trail is incorrectly position. It is a bit more to the north. Also, this appears to be a private property area. Before you arrive to the 2 lake, the Broad Dubb Road is a long downhill journey, with beautiful scenery It is also advisible that once you reach Swinsty Reservoir, you could make a left turn towards the "dam", which is a bit to the south, the view is breathtaking. The road after the dam is very rough and it is better to return back to Smithson's Lane. It is also important to have a map and keep track of your progress, as roadsigns are minimal and there are some dangerous A roads, which you want to avoid. Road condition seems fair across the cycle route and overall a very good cycle route. | ||
