| This is a road route, on a mix of A and B roads and country lanes, but with the majority on B roads. It is largely flat with some undulations detailed below. Named after 'The Meare Run', this route features one or two bumps between Wells and Wedmore and quite a climb from the village of Ashcott through to the edge of Glastonbury. |

| I took my bike whilst staying in the Premier Inn at Glastonbury whilst there on business for a few days. I selected this route as it was a good distance given I set off at 6:30pm and it appealed to me very novice status. A thoroughly enjoyable route, predominantly flat with a particularly enjoyable downhill section that had me topping 41mph. There are a couple of little testing climbs too. Not least the 8% section that comes shortly after the Long Drove. I say testing, they were for me. Up until now my cycling has been confined to the extraordinarily flat Cheshire Plains of home. | ||
