Hello Wagtail,

just some thoughts on the route:

1) from Woods Corner - alternative is the 170m+ descent from Mad Jack Fullers (highest point in area with views) into Robertsbridge followed by short stretch on A21 then lovely minor road, Poppinghole Lane which finishes close to Cripp's Corner

2)The easiest and less busy climb from Wittersham to Tenterden is via Reading Street

3)You can avoid the centre of Ashford from Woodchurch by either a) going to the east from Shadoxhurst via Stubb's Cross, Sevington and Naccolt or b)going to the west via Great Chart (not Singleton), Godinton and Goat Lees then A252/Boughton Aluphs/crossover A28

What do you think?

Sorry Wagtail I based my reply on doing the ride from Brighton->Canterbury!

Funnily enough, the comments still apply in reverse..but the 170+m descent becomes a 170m+ ascent from Robertsbridge, but a not too steep a climb so it's still worth a go!
