You can start this route at any point. It goes thru Troon so any type of shop/food available here as well as beaches. It is a straight-forward route with a decent climb of Dundonald Hill to give your lungs a good blow. The route can be added/shortened in many places just look at your map. Great views from the top of Dundonald Hill over Troon and out towards Arran, well worth the effort.
Landmarks/Pubs for lunch/Sites to see?
Troon bike shop just closed but sign saying new one opening soon. Dundonald castle and the smugglers trail can be accessed but the trail only for mountain bikes. |
