Aviemore to Braemar Cycle Route
Cycle Steps | |
Turn right out of Tescos and head along Grampian Road until you come to a mini roundabout across from the tourist office. Turn left here. | |
Cycle along this road, past Coylumbridge, past Nethybridge until you come to a T-Junction just as you arrive in Speybridge. Turn right here on to the A95. | |
You are only on this road briefly, as it is slightly busier. | |
Follow it round until you see a signpost for Tomintoul on your right. This will take you onto Highland Road. | |
Cycle along this road until you get to Tomintoul High Street, there are some fair climbs around here so definately have to be relatively fit. | |
When in Tomintoul the road veres round to the left and then right and exits the town, stay on this road until you come to a T-Junction in Tomahaish, turn right here. Continuing on the A939. | |
When you arrive in Gairnshiel lodge, take the side road right. This is a little shortcut cutting off a corner, but once again, there is some hard climbs in this stretch. | |
Keep cycling along here until you arrive at a T-Junction with Deeside A93. | |
Turn right on to this road, carry along for another 6 miles and you will arrive in Braemar. The yostel is on your left in the southern part of Braemar. | |
