Turn right out of Tescos and head along Grampian Road until you come to a mini roundabout across from the tourist office. Turn left here.
Cycle along this road, past Coylumbridge, past Nethybridge until you come to a T-Junction just as you arrive in Speybridge. Turn right here on to the A95.
You are only on this road briefly, as it is slightly busier.
Follow it round until you see a signpost for Tomintoul on your right. This will take you onto Highland Road.
Cycle along this road until you get to Tomintoul High Street, there are some fair climbs around here so definately have to be relatively fit.
When in Tomintoul the road veres round to the left and then right and exits the town, stay on this road until you come to a T-Junction in Tomahaish, turn right here. Continuing on the A939.
When you arrive in Gairnshiel lodge, take the side road right. This is a little shortcut cutting off a corner, but once again, there is some hard climbs in this stretch.
Keep cycling along here until you arrive at a T-Junction with Deeside A93.
Turn right on to this road, carry along for another 6 miles and you will arrive in Braemar. The yostel is on your left in the southern part of Braemar.
