The wildest bike ride in the south east will see cyclists pushing their pedals for wildlife on this Sunday morning ride. The long-distance route will take in three counties along the journey, with cityscapes and countryside vistas to admire along the way. Starting at ZSL London Zoo in Regent’s Park and finishing at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo in Dunstable, riders will head north out of London onto the open roads of Hertfordshire, before ending up in the middle of the beautiful Bedfordshire countryside. The ride is suitable for speedy spinners and freewheeling fundraisers alike, and with two distances to choose from, 35 or 50 miles. Whether as a warm-up for an upcoming race, or a Sunday summer cycle with friends, funds raised by those sat in the saddle will help international conservation charity ZSL to work for wildlife and protect some of the world’s most threatened species including elephants and tigers, which both face threats from poaching and habitat loss. Spaces are available to book now, race to www.zsl.org/bike by Friday 23rd June to secure a place in the pack.
