Sixteen towns make up this area, some former cotton manufacturing, Townsend was donated to the trust and its rumored that Saint Patrick was born in Old Kilpatrick. The Eskine Bridge is a large bridge that didn't meet in the middle so it has two huge cables to connect the bridge. Dumbarton Castle sits on top of a volcanic rock, Inchmurrin Island, 2 lochs and a river are also sights that are a must see.
