Cycle Steps
A mixed bag of styles (road and off-road) to stop boredom setting in.
Starts along the A30 a short way before peeling off (just after the Castletown Way turn off) to some dirt tracks (difficult in wet weather they get muddy) This brings you out at Oborne Church (optional to just follow the a30 and signs to Oborne if weather is or has been bad).
Follow Oborne stream for about 100m before taking the right hand, marked, off road, very steep cycle track onto a higher road. Turn left
You now follow quiet back lanes down to 3 arch bridge.(the railway and road to Milborne Port is on your right) Turn left here, more off road track. This takes you eventually to the Sherborne Charlton Horethorne road, B3145. Go straight across and follow the signs for Sandford Orcas.
A steady climb out of Sandford Orcas and then another Left follows Sherborne Golf course bringing you out at Higher Clatcombe for a well deserved freewheel home.
Very little time dealing with fast cars or traffic on this route.
