Scenic route in Northumberland. Best cycled anticlockwise to take in the Ryals, ideal for making loop smaller or bigger depending on how you feel.
Ryals short but pretty steep. Just before Matfen Ponteland is a small town with everything you could need including bike friendly cafe shops on route. Also pubs in Matfen and Stamfordham.
Last 10 miles of course nice and flat to boost your average speed up, I find the whole ride is virtually traffic free and very scenic. |
