| This is a relatively flat route, mainly on the Basingstoke Canal Towpath. The towpath is stoney, with occasions of surface mud. It is however, suitable for all ages and all types of bikes and provides a good route for the begginer or a family cycle. With a refreshment break, the ride should be completed in around 1hr 40 minutes. You then have the option to ride the train back or retrace your route. Hope you enjoy the this lovely stretch of the Basinstoke canal. |

| Landmarks/Pubs for lunch/Sites to see? |
A nice pub around 1/3 of the way along the route. Also, if needed, there is a good cycle shop in the town of Fleet - 'Cycle Kingdom' - which offers a good range of spares and is happy to mend your bike for a small fee. The postcode for cycle kingdom is GU51 3BT.
