The route starts at The Angel Public House, goes past the church in Wickham Bishops and some sort of engineering museum in Langford. Heybridge has a few small shops and cafes. The route also passes a small fishing lake in Scraley Road Heybridge, and also Heybridge Swifts Football Club. The Swan in Little Totham is a frequent winner of the CAMRA pub of the year.
