I live in Willington Quay, and love nothing more than to do this loop on a Sunday, and stop by at the Quayside for a pint before returning back through Walker/Wallsend, back to Willington Quay

I've done this route a couple of times, but using the pedestrian tunnel rather than the ferry, which gives some great views along the Tyne in places.

Anyone wanting to extend the route could always just go further east along the Tyne.
