Hi all,

Next weekend I'm planning on going to photograph a steam train on the North Wales coast. I've picked my spot where I want to photograph the train passing but I'm uncertain how to get from Penmaenmawr to the foot bridge that crosses over the railway line and the A55 at Dwygyfylchi.

Can anyone assist?

Thank you in advance.

Hi chrismid259

Maybe I'm missing something here but why not just look on Google maps?
If you mean the bridge I think you mean you can access it direct from the beach, or from the back of the car park at the Shell station when travelling east on the A55.
Hope you get some good photos!

I've checked Google Maps but as I won't be able to cycle down the A55, so I was wondering if there was a cycle path that runs from Penmaenmawr railway station to my destination.

Sorry, should have mentioned that in original post.

Actually Yes, there is a cycle track that runs all along the length you're interested in. Its part of route 5. It stays on the beach side of the railway and A55. I'm not sure how you would get onto it though - probably have to set off from the station on the road in the wrong direction (east) and cross the railway and A55 over the bridge that sweeps down onto the promenade. Best to ask at the station if no-one on here has detailed local knowledge. From station to bridge is less than a mile anyhow.
