How to add maps to iphone

Joined: 01 Feb 2010 Posts: 4 Bike: | Dear Forum Does anyone know how to add the cycle routes from here to an iphone, I have Geolives, Runkeeper and BikeMateLite installed. I would like to use the gps facilities of my phone to guide me on the routes. Thanks Paul |

Joined: 01 Mar 2009 Posts: 12 Bike: My Profile | Hi, sorry to go off topic right away but you can use Nokia Maps on Nokias (well of course) for free and it reads the route out. Not sure if practical when on the move but useful when lost (apart from no GPS sometimes!). Now in terms of the iPhone I would personally... Go to Google and if you do not have an account sign up (you can use your own email address) Go to Maps Design the route Save as a personal Map Load the personal map via the iPhone No sound but depends what you want really. One further thing, I have taken to driving most routes first now to look for new pot holes! |

Then open the GPX file in Bike Hub app... https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/bike-hub-cycle-journey-planner/id391782662?mt=8 The good thing with this is that you can down load map tiles at home on wifi. I have used it and it seems to work really well.... Together with a USB battery pack in one of these http://www.wiggle.co.uk/deuter-energy-bag it works really well and had no problem with battery life. |
