So restart your phone and then try to download the photos. DOWNLOAD CORRECTLY Many users try to download photos incorrectly. They select the photo on the Photos app's home screen and then tap the three-dot icon at the top. That is wrong. You will only see the option to delete or archive. VERIFY THE CORRECT LOCATION When you download an old image from Google Photos, you won't find it at the top. Instead, it will be available on the same date associated with the image in Google Photos. If you haven't found out yet, Google has changed its policy regarding photos. Here's how it plays out: Prior to June 1, 2021, uploads to Google Photos were not applied to your total Google Drive storage. With your base storage, you can upload as many photos and videos as you want and it won't count towards your Drive total.
