Leeds Liverpool Canal towpath closure

Joined: 30 Jul 2009 Posts: 17 Bike: My Profile | Just thought you might like an update on the latest towpath closure on the Leeds Liverpool canal. From last Tuesday (11th August 2009) a section of the towpath between Netherton and Bootle, Litherland Road will be closed for six months for resurfacing and general tidying up. Signposts along the diversion are in place and are quite well placed so that strangers to the area will be able to navigate the diversion without too much hassle. Be aware though, that a large portion of this diversion is along city streets with islands every 60 or so metres. |
