Lot of variables to take into account there.

What type of riding and what budget you are prepared to pay seem to most important to consider. You could pick up a decent second hand bike from eBay. I started that way at first before upgrading last year.

Get some advice from your local cycling shop. They are not just looking to make a sale. The more established ones can be really helpful

Hope this helps. Best of luck and happy cycling

Hi Tomo
I agree with hookai, cyclists love to talk about cycling and thier bikes and LBS (local bike shop) can certainly start you off in the right direction.
Are you looking for a commute, off road "leisure" cycling or on road touring?
A bike isnt just a bike these days. Even within mountain bikes there is a vast array of options.
Start off with asecond hand cheapie and see how you from there.
Good luck
Buster
