Mostly rural nestled in the west midlands on top of metamorphic rock and volcanic igneous that dates back 1200 million years ago, survive mostly off the fruit farming industry. During the 19th century people made gloves, needles, springs, hooks and carpets along side farming. Malvern Hills water became popular since they boasted that there was nothing added to the water. The now famous Worcestershire sauce is made here.
