| 1. There is a lay-by on the A246 just by the Bell and Colville garage which is good for parking. The first 7 miles or so are pretty flat to get a decent warm-up. The route is deliberately quite hilly. There is a fair bit of climbing but also a lot of fast downhill to reward those long slogs going up! |

There is a cafe at Squires garden centre about 1/4 mile from the start/finish. There are numerous cafes on route - notably Box Hill, Coldharbor and Newlands Corner.
