| This was my route home following a family visit. Nearly all of the route is on quiet country lanes, with only a couple of short main road sections. The route passes through Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Rutland, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire and much of it is very scenic with some lovely old villages. I was riding a touring machine with front and rear panniers. The terrain is undulating, with a few steep hills in the central section as the Nene, Welland and Witham valleys are crossed. |
