This is a very very quiet circular route along some very minor roads and off road for a short time. This Route starts from the Hawk and Buckle pub and takes you past an ancient hillfort over Mynydd Y Gaer. The North side decent of the mountain is off road and there may well be sheep grazing here, as well as a cattle grid, so be careful. From the path at the bottom of the mountain the route goes past a lovely caravan park and over the river up a gentle incline to eventually bring you back across again at Bont Newydd. From here there is a fairly steep incline as you return to the original starting point.
Apart from the Hawk and Buckle there are no shops along this very very quiet route. |
