| This is a road route on mainly country roads, with short sections of A road to negotiate. Also, given the area, it does rise and fall. From Kendal Town Centre, head North on back roads to Burneside, Bowston and then Staveley. Follow A591 towards Windermere and take gated road approx 1/4 mile after Ings. Heading West, reach Windermere Golf Club then aim for Winster. At the Brown Horse pub, bear right and follow this road to Bowland Bridge. Continue down the valley to Lindale, make a loop around Meathop and back to Witherslack. Head over the fell road from Levens to Heaves and Sizergh, and head to Sedgwick, then Natland and back to the start. |
