Located on the north bank of the Firth of Tay, near to the North Sea, Dundee claims to be the warmest and sunniest city in Scotland. This is down to it being a south facing city with hills to the north. There are plenty of areas which are great for cycling including Sustrans routes 1 and 77 along with the North Sea Cycle Route amongst others.
