1. Don to Sawley Marina, then to Trentlock.
North up canal to Ilkeston, pass Tesco, then up Shipley road to Heanor.
It's approximately 15 miles. Head back on A608 to Derby, past Morley, take signs marked Spondon/Chad.
Plenty of stop-offs, hard climb into Heanor,but quick back.
