Start of going through Caerphilly town then through the towns of Bedwas,Trethomas and Machen which are fairly flat but with small inclines every so often, once at Bassaleg you will encounter a dual carriage way which passes under the m4 so the roads are fairly busy,once over that round-about you will reach another which you will take the 3rd exit, and then the first exit on the next round-about, this will lead you to the flats in Newport, once taking the exit and going over the bridge onto the road which leads to Newport Road, you will then follow this road into the center of Cardiff. After leaving Cardiff a flat ride to the base of Caerphilly Mountain which involves a tough climb on rolling hills, once at the top a great decent back down into Caerphilly Town.
