| From Ayr college/Mill Street car park follow the marked cycle route to Auchincruive at Oswald bridge turn towards Oswald hall. Take the path which follows the river inland, there is a gate and a set of steps to cross, once over the steps follow the path round the old quarry there are a couple of tricky bits here, keep along side the small stream. When you meet the lane to Brocklehill farm turn right up the hill, its a steady climb to the bowling club at Annbank. Turn right follow the road down crossing the river Ayr then approx one mile on turn right back towards Auchencruive at the Oswald bridge re-trace your route back through Mainholm to Ayr. |
