| Start at the roundabout on lyons lane go north crossing the canal at the high level bridge follow the canal bank eastwards via thelwall lane as far as warburton bridge. Cross to the south bank and b5159 all the way to high leigh cross the main road into halliwells lane and right into golborne lane, moss lane, intack lanebadgers croft and barley castle lane return via appleton thorne and stop there at the pub. To make the route circular simply go north down green lane back to Appleton |
