Does anyone have any route suggestions. I was thinking about driving to Linlithgow and taking the canal to Edinburgh. Does anyone have any experience of that? Just looking for some advice Cheers, Kevin |

Have you considered parking at winchburgh and going in from there? I've done it from falkirk into edinburgh and back and cycling over the three aquaducts without decent lights at night is scary. Gates on the towpath slow you down a bit as you have to get off to negotiate most of them. It may be worth having a few dry runs from different places to see what the timings are. Good luck. |

That way you have an excellent escape route in the evening should it be torrential rain / you've had to work late etc etc. Having to cycle back to a car in the middle of nowhere can be a pain if you dont have too.. I park at Inverkeithing station, and cycle into Edinburgh from there. |
