Hi,

I'm looking at spending a few days cycling the route 66 cycle path from Manchester to hull. I live on the canal at the Manchester end and have been as far as tournoient in the past.

Information seems scarce so I was wondering if anyone had done it or had any info?

Thanks

Daz

Daz,

When you say ' tournoient ' do you mean Todmorton

If so that part of Route 66 ends at Brighouse it does then get confusing
because 66 then runs south east from leeds to hull
and other short sections of route 66 Bradford to Drewsbury moor

you could try to Plan route using the site below - choosing ' quietest ' route after entering start & end points - then change to suit

http://www.cyclestreets.net/journey/

I take it you mainly want the canal route -

Do you need a GPX route for phone / Garmin. ??

Hi,

Yes sorry made that post on my phone, Todmodern is right.

Thanks for the tips, shame there isn't more useful information / literature on cycle routes uk.

Hoping to correct this with a travel diary on the route... watch this space
