US rider staying in Tankerton this summer - best local rides?

Joined: 18 May 2014 Posts: 1 Bike: | Hi: Would like the advice of the forum please: We're visiting my parents in Tankerton this summer, and staying for the month of July. I'm bringing one of my road bikes for the duration, and would appreciate insight into good local rides. I'm a fairly advanced club rider, and ideally these routes would have some good climbs. What are your recommendations for 40 - 70 mile routes? Preferably safe ones, it would be unfortunate to get run over while there... Also, any flat-ish, uninterrupted roads at least three miles long in the area? Need a place for intervals that won't get me killed... And finally, good local (Tankerton, Whitstable or Canterbury) bike shops? Thanks for the help! Cheers |
