Anyone know of some good routes near Helvellyn/Ullswater. Or even better, one actually up Helvellyn itself? I have road or mtb capabilities. |

A route you could try, all road but trying, would be from Patterdale, up over the Kirkstone Pass, down into Windermere, along to Ambleside, in Ambleside turn right to back up to the top of the Kirkstone Pass and then back down to Patterdale. It has climbs, descents, flats and hostelries. Best of luck, but keep of the mountain. Rod Bridgett |
